処理が正常に完了すると、 fhopen() はオープンされたファイルの記述子を返します。 そうでない場合は -1 が返され、エラーを示すために errno が設定されます。

The fhstatand fhstatfs functions return the value 0 if successful; otherwise the value -1 is returned and the global variable errno is set to indicate the error.

関数 fhopen(), fhstat(), および fhstatfs() システムコールは NetBSD ではじめて登場しました。 Alfred Perlstein が FreeBSD 4.0 に移植しました。
